ABOUT US

Il Barbuto Pizza was founded by pizzaiolo Sasha Smiljanic, who began his career in Europe in 2011 before moving to Sydney in 2018.

 

Sasha has worked at some of Sydney’s most respected pizzerias, including famous Bella Brutta in Newtown. From 2023 until 2025 he was group head pizza chef for the Point Group (The Dolphin Hotel in Surry Hills and The Wine Bar at Martin Place).

 

A finalist in Australia’s Best Pizza Awards 2025, Sasha brings serious craft, experience and consistency to our family-run mobile pizza catering.​
